About Accurate
Accurate Stabilising is the in-situ stabilisation division of Accurate Roads Group, a Newcastle-based road rehabilitation contractor that has been recycling and rebuilding pavements across regional NSW since 2001.
The business started with one operator, a seal truck and a bobcat profiler.
Long-term council tender work followed within a year and gave it a base to grow from. Over the two decades since, it moved deliberately up the value chain: into stabilisation, onto state and regional panels, and into mine-compliant work, building the capability it holds today rather than buying it.
What we do
A road can be assessed, stabilised in place, surfaced and finished by the same crew, on one contract. That reduces the number of parties a client has to coordinate, and it means one point of accountability from first cut to final seal.
Accurate Roads Group operates stabilisation solutions through Accurate Stabilising, and asphalt pavement and road maintenance works through Accurate Asphalt & Road Repairs.

The specialism. Recycling the existing pavement in place, with the right binder, to a stronger and longer-lasting standard than it was before.

The earthworks, base placement and trimming that let us take on a whole pavement, not just one treatment.

Our approach
We're built on proven systems, compliant and well-maintained plant and a multi-skilled team. That means consistent quality, safe delivery and less disruption, whatever the size of the project.
In-house crews cross-trained across stabilisation, surfacing and civil, with the same people across a job.
Quality, safety and environmental systems certified to ISO 9001, 45001 and 14001.
A compliant, well-maintained fleet built for durability and value. MDG15-compliant plant, maintained in-house and kept to spec for the next project.
Our reach
Accurate operates from its Redhead depot, servicing the Hunter, Central Coast and Mid North Coast, with projects delivered across regional NSW.
In-situ stabilisation is well suited to regional work, as distance matters less than it does for almost any other pavement method. With self-contained plant and existing pavement materials reused on site, there’s far less haulage, fewer truck movements and lower mobilisation costs than conventional dig-out and replacement methods. A job that would take a traditional dig-out contractor two weeks of truck movements can be done in days.

Our story
What started with one operator, a seal truck and a bobcat has grown into a trusted road rehabilitation partner across NSW. Different equipment, bigger projects, the same commitment: better roads for stronger communities.
Accurate begins trading in July with one operator, a seal truck and a bobcat profiler.
First long-term council tender contracts. The base the business grows from.
First Bomag stabiliser. Entry into the larger stabilisation sector, leading to a $1.3 million Roads and Maritime Services contract on the New England Highway near Murrurundi.
A larger paver. AustStab accreditation. First RMS certifications, and quality, environmental and safety certification: the systems now certified to ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001.
First in the industry to use a 120-tonne surface miner to mill a road pavement, cutting a six-week highway job to two. The owners buy the current premises at Redhead.
Ranked first, second and third by six councils on a multi-year tender. Secured a position on the RMS four-year panel as the only private company.
Traded through COVID with the team retained. Bulk fuel and emulsion storage installed at the depot. Second Wirtgen stabiliser, water cart and 20-tonne tipper added to the fleet.
Fleet upgraded to MDG15 mine-compliant standard. The Hunter coal sector opens.
Twenty-five years. A three-year sole-contractor private maintenance contract secured. The team gathers in August to mark it.
Sectors
Transport for NSW, councils across the Hunter, Central Coast and Mid North Coast, civil and commercial contractors, the Hunter resources sector, and a long tail of developers and private clients. Around 75% of revenue comes from repeat clients, and because the work is project-driven across many customers there's no reliance on any one account. Work is won mainly through prequalification and panel positions, and held by delivering it well.
Accreditations & approvals
Accurate holds a near-complete accreditation stack for NSW pavement work: Transport for NSW prequalification across in-situ stabilisation (Z1), asphalt (A2), road construction (R2) and financial (F2); ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001; AustStab and AfPA membership; Local Government Procurement approval; and MDG15 mine-site compliance. Together, these let a Newcastle operator bid the same work as national contractors.
