Accreditations and approvals
Accredited & approved
This page is written for the person whose job is to check.
Accurate Stabilising holds every credential below under its registered company name, Accurate Asphalt & Road Repairs Pty Ltd, ABN 41 096 051 311, which is how each register lists it. Accurate Stabilising and Accurate Roads Group are trading names of that company.
Why these matter
In this industry, accreditations aren't trophies. They're tickets. Without the right prequalification a contractor isn't eligible to bid the work at all, regardless of how good the crews are or how long it's been going.
The full set covers state prequalification across stabilisation, surfacing and road construction, the three ISO systems, council panel approval and mine-site compliance. Holding it is what lets a Newcastle-based independent bid the same work as national contractors, and it's maintained continuously, at real cost, re-audited on schedule.
Transport for NSW prequalification
| Class | Scope | What it unlocks |
|---|---|---|
| Z1 | Full-service in-situ stabilisation | State road stabilisation contracts. Z1 is the top-tier registration, held by a small number of contractors. |
| A2 | Asphalt specialist | Asphalt surfacing on the state network. |
| R2 | Road construction | General roadworks and pavement construction. |
| F2 | Financial | The financial-capacity threshold for contract value. |
ISO certification
| Standard | Scope |
|---|---|
| ISO 9001:2015 | Quality Management |
| ISO 14001:2015 | Environmental Management |
| ISO 45001:2018 | Occupational Health & Safety |
Independently audited and re-certified on schedule. These are the quality, environment and safety thresholds scored on council and panel tenders.
Industry accreditation and membership
| Body | Status | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| AustStab (Pavement Recycling and Stabilisation Association) | Accredited contractor | The recognised industry credential for stabilisation. Member since 2013. |
| AfPA (Australian Flexible Pavement Association) | Associate member | The national body for flexible pavement design and construction. |
| CCF (Civil Contractors Federation) | Member | |
| ARRB (Australian Road Research Board) | Certified Pavement Specialist |
Procurement panels and prequalifications
| Panel / scheme | What it opens |
|---|---|
| Local Government Procurement (LGP) Approved Contractor | The panel through which most NSW council road work is awarded. |
| Regional Procurement | Hunter regional council procurement. |
| BNG Conserve | Contractor compliance and prequalification used by principals. |
| Cm3 | Contractor safety prequalification. |
| buy.nsw | NSW Government supplier registration. |
| MDG15 | Mine Design Guideline 15, the mobile plant standard for NSW coal mines. Fleet upgraded to MDG15 standard in 2024. Opens Hunter mining haul and access road work that most stabilisation contractors cannot enter. |
What the stack means in practice
For a council: LGP approval plus three ISO certifications means Accurate clears the compliance gate before price is even considered.
For Transport for NSW or a tier-one head contractor: Z1, A2, R2 and F2 together mean Accurate is eligible across the full scope of pavement work, not one narrow corner of it.
For a mine site: MDG15 compliance means the plant can go through the gate.
For everyone: the systems behind these accreditations are the same systems that run every job, whether it's a highway or a car park.
