Some of the councils we work with

The Sector

The first long-term council tender contracts came in 2002, within a year of founding.

Twenty-four years later, councils across the Hunter, Central Coast, Mid North Coast and beyond are still the core of the work, and on multi-year tenders councils have ranked Accurate first, second and third.

This page is for the engineer scoping a programme, the procurement officer checking a submission, and the asset manager trying to make a rehabilitation budget go further.

Real-world solutions

Stretching the rehabilitation budget

Most councils are carrying a rehabilitation backlog that no single year's budget will clear. In-situ stabilisation treats two to three times the length of road for the same spend as reconstruction, because the material is already there.

  • Lower whole-of-life costs

Two to three times the length of road for the same spend.

  • Less disruption

Days per street instead of weeks.

  • Lowest-carbon method

    Nothing imported, nothing carted away.

Cost efficiency

Same ground. Lower costs.

In-situ stabilisation reuses the material already in the ground, so there is no new material to import and no spoil to cart away. Less transport, less handling and a single mobilisation of plant make it a faster, more cost-effective way to rebuild a road.

Traditional approach

More transport. Higher costs. Longer program.

  • Import material

New gravel carted in from the quarry, load by load.

  • Export waste

The old pavement dug out and trucked away as spoil.

  • More plant and labour

Extra trucks, excavators and crew on site for longer.

  • Increased costs

Haulage, tipping and program time all add to the price.

In-situ stabilisation

Less movement. A smarter solution.

  • Reuse existing material

Stabilise on site, with nothing imported and nothing carted away.

  • Lower transport costs

Fewer truck movements, less haulage and less disruption to traffic.

  • Faster delivery

One pass of the recycler, compacted and back under traffic sooner.

What we deliver

Local presence

A local supplier, on paper and on the ground.

Accurate operates from its own depot at Redhead, Newcastle, premises the owners bought in 2015. For councils in the Hunter and Lake Macquarie, that's a local supplier in the sense most local-content policies define it.

For Port Stephens, Maitland, MidCoast and Central Coast councils, it means a crew that mobilises the same morning, and a contractor that has already completed work in the LGA and can show it.

For councils further afield, like Coffs Harbour, Gwydir Shire and Wollongong, it means a contractor that has already travelled to deliver work there, with the project pages to prove it.

Accreditations & approvals

The compliance gate, cleared.

Before price is considered, a council tender has a compliance gate. Accurate clears it: LGP approved, Regional Procurement prequalified, ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 certified and Transport for NSW prequalified, with insurances and management plans supplied with every submission.

Held under Accurate Asphalt & Road Repairs Pty Ltd, as each register lists it.
